At What Point Does It Become "False Advertising?"
So I am interested in seeing the Detroit Red Wings game played outdoors at Wrigley Field. Unfortunately, it is on at the same time as the Michigan State Spartans bowl game. (Hockey is on NBC and football is on ABC.)
So yeah, 1:30 and still no hockey game. Between the commercials, the stupid announcers, and singing of the Canadian anthem for some reason, the game still hasn't started. Mind you, the MSU game has 5 minutes left in the first quarter and football has frequent breaks and game time stops. What the heck?!
So here's my question. At what point is NBC liable for "false advertising" when they claim the game starts at 1? Mind you, movie theaters have been faced with this problem lately when they say the movie starts at 7, but the trailers don't end until 7:20. Well, NBC needs to address this issue cause now it is closer to 1:35 and they are just now doing the ceremonially face-off. Wow!
And then NBC wonders why people flock so willingly to DVR technology... Jeez.
UPDATE: Okay, so I know it might be hard for NBC people to understand, but they are there to show the game. They decided to show 15 replays of a goal even though the game was going on in the background. And yet, YET, they can't figure out how to show a replay of a penalty. No, I don't want to buy your crap; show me the dang call! That is why I watch it on TV.
