Plaxico Burress Part 2: Who Do Your Doctors Work For?

So, here's the deal. Plaxico Burress shot himself in a nightclub, went to get treated at a hospital, and the hospital contacted the police about him being treated for a gunshot wound.

Here's your question to answer. What would a rational person think if they were in this situation?

See, if you happen to shoot yourself, you probably should avoid going to the hospital if you can. If the police will be called, why would you deal with them? You shot yourself; do you really need a police report?

This situation just shows another time where the rights of people are not respected. I thought there was a thing called "doctor-patient confidentiality." But, when guns are involved, nope! The doctor works for the government so SCREW YOU! (Put that in your best Cartman voice for full effect.)

Is health care that important? Not in this situation it seems. Just something to think about.

(By the way, I am not sure if a knife-wound gets the same treatment. So, this could be another situation where guns are singled-out or it could be a situation where the cops force doctors to ignore the rights of patients.)
