Hooray Racism! Wait! What?!

So, the NFL has incorporated racism into its coaching system and as it turns out, they like it!

See, when the St. Louis Rams fired their head coach midway through the season, they appointed an assistant coach as interim. One of his contract perks was that if his team won a certain number of games, he was going to be the head coach. But wait! That can't happen. Why? Well, he is white. Yep, that is the only reason this contract was against NFL rules.

But, take another team, the San Francisco 49ers. When they fired their coach and appointed an assistant as interim, they could have given the same contract and it would be legal. Why? Cause that coach is black.

So, near the end of the season, neither coach would have met the automatic job offer, but San Fran is talking about giving their coach the job next year. And guess what? He could get it with nobody else being interviewed. But if St. Louis tried to hire their guy, they have to interview other people. It all comes down to race. If St. Louis found some random black guy and offered him the job, they wouldn't have to have any interviews. But want to hire a white guy? Gotta interview a black guy too.

That is racist...no questions about it! But as the NFL likes to promote, they like racism.

So, here's to Mike Singletary, a black guy who will probably get to drop the interim tag next year. For St. Louis's interim coach, Jim Haslitt, I hope the black guy you interview against sucks so you can drop your interim tag too. Good luck getting a job in the racist NFL!
