One of the Greatest Commercials Ever!

So I was just watching golf and there was the best commercial I have seen in a long, long time, if not ever. The ad starts with this mountain gondolier thing, one of those basket things on ropes to get people up a mountain. Well, it suddenly just stops and starts rocking, scaring the occupants. A bird settles on the basket and it wobbles some more. Well, this one guy says he took this class in the power of positive thinking and tells people to think happy thoughts. Suddenly, a woman screams and we see this guy in a suit moving over to a button with the title, "emergency restart." He hits the button, the thing starts, and the guy who took the class says, "See?" while the woman smiles knowingly, like she believes him. The voice over guy says something along the lines of doing action, not just talking.

The ad is for the Royal Bank of Scotland Group (RBS). However, the ad fits into politics as well. Far too often, we have seen people calling for action, but not doing anything. With the bridge collapse, Democrats and their media allies have been calling for higher taxes, and surprisingly, it is Bush who is asking where was the money they already had?

At least I found one funny ad and a smart one too. Just refreshing to see.
