Microsoft vs. Apple: Wonder Who Will Get Criticized?

So yeah, in another story on IMDB, I guess the BBC is putting out video that can only be played on a Microsoft product. Now, okay, how is this any different from stuff put out only for Apple's iPod? Think about it. If I bought a fancy car, I could get an iPod slot, but a Microsoft media player slot? I don't know about that.

So why complain? Is the BBC programming that precious? Eh, I don't think so. Realize this. Do you know how many websites have programming that has restrictions? Everything from "register for free" (so they can spam the heck out of you) to Real Media Player required (or Quicktime) to stream only (sorry impatient viewers).

Now, there is an argument that the BBC, being public, should be available to the public. Why not have the other side, take the BBC private? I am not British so I don't actually watch the BBC, but how come that is never an option? Wouldn't that solve more than one problem? (Yep!)
