Do Article Writers Recognize Irony?

So yeah, in this article, while trying to criticize Republicans, the author makes one very large blunder. Okay, so the head of the civil rights division at the Department of Justice is leaving. While trying to promote an agenda, the author discusses exactly what the civil rights division does. Only one problem. See, one of the examples given is slightly odd. Here is the statement.

The department's civil rights division enforces federal laws prohibiting discrimination, including at work, at election polls and even at casinos.

Yeah, I wonder if you can spot the mistake. See, being from Michigan, I believe it was voted into our state constitution that in order to open a casino, voters need to approve construction. Except, wait for it. Yep, Indian casinos are exempt. If they want to build one on tribal land, no need to go to the local voters (which are not always just Indians) or to state voters. See, discrimination is actually written into the law.

You can see now why I find the example of the civil rights division going after casinos just slightly odd. If there is ever a place where discrimination is not only practiced, but is actually encouraged, it is at casinos.

So you have to wonder if the author noticed this discrepancy? Odds are no because the idiot was too busy trying to blame Republicans for filling spots in the division. (Ever notice how when it is a Republican president the appointed and direct hire decisions are criticized if they are filled by Republicans, but a Democrat president and Democrat appointees are perfectly acceptable?)

Oh well. At least articles like this point out how absurd the media is. What is the point of hearing propaganda when you are looking for news? I mean, if you are going to hear an agenda, wouldn't it just be easier to go to either a conservative or liberal news organization? Skip the middle man and go straight to the honest reporter. Be partisan is not wrong; being partisan while claiming you are objective is. Screw the lying wastes of time media and just pick your full-disclosure partisan reporter. That way you don't have to try to figure out the truth from the propaganda based on what the author might be trying to say. Better yet, read both liberal and conservative biased reporting and find the facts in the middle or so. Just make sure you don't go for the conspiracy nuts!
