Ahh, When Religion Gets Busted
Well, the Religion of the Environment ran into a problem yesterday, one that has long confronted every other religion. The problem? What happens when your beliefs get exposed as hypocrisy by science?
See, it turns out that some moose up in Norway contribute to global warming. According to this article, a moose lets out 100 kilograms of methane gas a year. Whoa, big problem. Methane is worse than CO2.
So where is the problem you ask? Well, if global warming is man-made, then where do moose fit in? A moose ain't a man, now is it? (Wait! Forget I asked that before PETA shows up and tries to argue that a moose is human. I mean, it must be right because it contributes to global warming?)
Well, the Religion of the Environment will just have to figure out how to spin this story, just as the Catholic Church had to learn how Jesus and God could be the same, but different. Beliefs are beliefs because they have no proof. And as Algore readily shows, the Religion of the Environment is very short on proof of any kind.
Wouldn't it be nice if for once we could NOT be involved in a holy war? So the Muslim extremists call it a fatwa when they condemn the West. What does Algore call it? Has he named his version of a fatwa yet? Cause I mean, he does have a lot in common with Muslim extremists in that they both want to destroy the way of life of the Western world. Now that could make a great conspiracy theory. Hehe. I wonder if I can turn my ultra-literal mind off for a bit to flesh that theory out. Be mighty interesting, don't ya think?
