Sue the Government, NOT Businesses

So, I just saw an ad that basically lied to my face. No, it wasn't for "herbal medicine" or "You too can make $10,000 in ONE WEEK!" No, you see, this advertisement was from the United States Dept. of Transportation. After trying to scare people into buckling a seat belt or get a ticket, the ad ends with this phrase.

"Cops write tickets to save lives."

Yeah, they sure do. NOT! Cops write tickets to bring in revenue for the government, not to protect us. If they really wrote tickets to save lives, well, darn, you would think they might actually write a ticket to some old person BEFORE they drive through a crowded shopping center. Wait, you mean they don't? Even though those incompetent elderly drivers actually kill people? Hmm... How many times has my life been in danger without a seat belt? Yeah, you know what, get the slow drivers off the expressway. Raise the bloody limit and we will ALL be safer. Just think about it. If you are in a pack of cars, driving on the highway, who is more dangerous? Is it the guy doing 10 more than you coming up behind? Or, is it the guy in front of you (generally older) who is doing 10 below your speed? HINT: Think about where a dangerous part of a traffic jam is. It ain't in the front where everybody is stopped.

So really, can the government truly say their tickets save lives? Yeah, not much more than those other people can say they have a new cure for cancer. Those people get sued; the government is to be trusted. Yeah, I'm sure. So, either false advertising is illegal, or it ain't. Please, just pick one. Make it consistent. Cause I hate liars, but at least with the "male enhancement pill" sellers, I know they are lyin' but more importantly, so do they.
