Stupid, Stupid, Stupid, Stupid - Send Us Forest Fires!

Ok, for once, I finally, FINALLY can say something and no one can argue that I have no experience to base my thoughts on.

The AP has a story entitled "Forest Service giving nature lessons" basically in an attempt to get kids to go out in the woods rather than go to class. This is the dumbest idea ever! (If I could swear on here, oh, now I would.)

Why do I feel so strongly you may wonder? Because I, yes I, was one of those unfortunate kids having to leave class and go out in the friggin' woods. It was pointless! It was horrid!

Now, some may say, as this article claims, that putting kids in the woods will help them and maybe get them to think of conservation. BS! This is propaganda, and good ol' Herr Goebbels couldn't come up with a better plan.

Perhaps it is time we eliminate the federal Forest Service. Think about it. Who really will protect the woods, a government bureaucrat? Or, some guy who makes good money harvesting trees? (If you don't know this, forest fires are on GOVERNMENT land, not private.) Imagine how much money we would save. Actually, we could eliminate the income tax and not need it in one simple step. Eliminate all government programs created during FDR's treasonous time in office and sell government land. (He was guilty of treason because he instituted programs that were NOT authorized by the Constitution. And any Democrat calling for an impeachment of Bush should immediately agree with me and call for a removal of the FDR memorial in Washington.) Our government gained a great amount of revenue by selling land. Why should it own land now? I am willing to make an exception to the owning land thing for D.C. because that was the "Federal City." It was meant to be owned by the government.

So why would I get so mad at this stupid program? Because I care! Having lived out in the woods, I know how boooorrriiiinggg it can be. (Yes, it is that boring.)

But here is my main concern. When kids in urban schools can't even READ when they graduate, shouldn't that be the emphasis rather than the dang woods?
