Cigarettes vs. Energy Hogs: What is the Difference?

So I think I have blogged about both of these ads, but there is an ad for those Truth bastards about a guy dressing up like a Muppet to appeal to kids and another ad from an energy group uses pig puppets to get kids to reduce energy. Now, the end of the hogs ad actually tells kids how they could "help" their parents reduce energy use.

Wait a minute here! What the heck?

You know what. Energy propaganda is no better than cigarette ads. It don't work like that. Propaganda is wrong. I don't care if it is to sell cigarettes or energy star appliances. Yeah, there is no difference.

By the way, I still have no idea what kind of light bulb that kid puts in because that was a friggin' spotlight. Stupid worthless misleading advertisement. Now THAT crap is what the FTC is supposed to stop. "But, wait, they are an advocacy group!" BS. So is the "Landmines are Fun" advocacy group. Their ads wouldn't be legal, so why should the lying energy bastards' ads be legal? Nope, they are illegal and the people who put it on TV should be fined or put in jail.
