Thought from a Textbook
Let's see if this seems weird to anyone else. So I actually was reading a textbook today, and the caption underneath a picture was talking about how a Post Office was open late on Tax Day to accommodate late filers. The morale was how even governmental organizations need to keep the idea of customer service in mind. Can you see a problem with this scenario? Um...customer service and taxes? Those are like oil and water; they just don't mix, baby. True customer service would be what Steve Forbes advocated, the Flat Tax on a Postcard. That, my friends, is customer service. The Post Office staying open to help people filing late taxes is, how should I put this, like providing sunglasses in Arizona when it is 110 degrees. Yeah, they are nice, but a working air conditioner would be a helluva lot better. Anyways, thought that was kinda interesting. Man, I hate this book. Too bloody preachy and since I still am not totally comfortable with religion, it don't help when that religion is liberalism.
